I saw an ash and walnut box on another site and really admirer how the two woods complemented each other. So I thought I would try my hand at making a box with the two woods. Since I have been practicing cutting vectors with a CNC; so including a graphic on the box top seemed inevitable. Also I did not want a standard lid therefore, this lid is hinged from the sides of the box with a brass rod. Nothing complicated – just different from your standard lid. This was more a skill building project than anything hope you find it interesting and different.

Finish is lacquer. Bottom of the box is lined in black felt.

Cool looking box and the lid is beautiful. Great job.
