Mesquite slab mantle finished with Waterlox and attached to brick using steel dowels to give that “floating” effect.

Nice rustic mantle. It looks like it is a heavy piece. Do you have a frontal shot showing the natural edge?

As noted, it is fairly heavy. Had to use 1/2 steel dowels to support it. Here’s a shot from the front.
