This is my version of the Dutch Tool Chest. I modified the dimensions to accomodate my larger saws, and added a drawer for small stuff.

I had some spare oak, which became the bottom and sides. The drawer front is a small piece of poplar. Everything else is pine.

Right now, I just have all my tools and sharpening gear piled in it. I will add the tool holding stuff (saw tills, tool bar etc) as I go along.

I also added a “5 O’Clock alarm” to the front

I like those Dutch chests, they just seem to better carry the needed items. Nice job. I really like the 5 O’clock alarm, it would probably be the most used tool on mine back in the day of the 16 ounce returnable Cokes.

Nice job. Looks like it will get a lot of use…

I had an old bag of milk paint and took it to the local Ace Hardware. They duplicated it perfect and the pint sample will add a final coat to another project I’ve had sitting around for a while
