this board has four woods: wenge, walnut, maple, and poplar. the design is thanks to Spalm posting in 2010. there are seventy 1.5 inch squares and the glue up was harder than the milling of parts. be awhile before i make another one…...........

Excellent work! I once made a stair-step type of board using just two woods, and the glue up about killed me. I made it as a gift and was quite proud of the end product, but like you I don’t see myself making another anytime soon. It’s always better to make things in multiples if you can, but I don’t think I have enough clamps to make more than one of these at a time.

It’s unfortunate because the end product is so nice, and yours is exceptional.
