Can’t take credit for designing these but wanted to pass them on as they were both free, easy to make and awesome to use.
Blank sizer video always makes the blank 1/8” longer than the tube which leaves you exactly 1/16” on each end of the blank
Pen press video made from old HF bar clamp and a couple of squares of HDPE cutting board (that my wife didn’t notice is a little smaller than it used to be)

I have not tried pens; but, it looks like great easy jigs to me.

I want to try turning pens, I have been buying little bits of stuff here and there. One thing I didn’t buy was a press. They run from $70 to $120, kind of expensive. Sure like your ideas. Thanks for inspiring

I’m new to it too. I’ve found it to be very satisfying as you can have a completed project start to finish in an hour or two which feeds my ADHD. I can usually whip out a pen waiting on glue or stain to dry on another project.

So glad I saw this, been wanting to get into making pens and hoping to start in the near future. Like mentioned above, the press was a little pricey for starting, especially if I was unsure if it was going to be long term hobby. Thanks for sharing these, will be making one shortly!

It took me a minute, but a great way to cut them the blanks and press them together
