I took up blade smithing. These karambits are my most recent. I have made about a dozen knives so far and am completely hooked. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on grinders and extra until I knew I liked it. So I built a 2×72 grinder from a old treadmill and some skate board wheels. I forge in the fire box of my smoker. Just use a small draft inducer motor. These blades are made from mower blades. They hold up nice I actually made a Bowie and chopped a 2×4 in half and still would slice paper. I guess I got a few lucky friends. I practice on these mower blades and then give them away. When I feel I have for it down I will start buying the good steel. I guess I’ve seen to many episodes of forged in fire. The one with the little scaberd was my last. My wife stole it as soon as she seen it. So it’s a purse knife now. It is bit of a change from my normal hobbies. But change is good I am 42 and still learning. Hope it can inspire someone else to try something new. Now I got to build a proper forge and a little Giant style power hammer. Like I said I hooked

Prettu nice. I like the handle design and scabbard.
