My daughter went to a moving sale one day and called me and asked if she bought this dresser set would we( I ) be able to paint it because she did not think the color would go with her décor. I said that it should not be a problem. So she purchased all them for $75.00. It took two trips to bring the dressers to Dad’s garage. The pieces were pretty chipped up so I got out my orbital sander and started to sand not thinking that I was going to strip them completely but, just remove enough paint to change color and get rid of the chipped spots. After a bit of sanding I realized these were fairly nice solid wood pieces. So after stripping the first and smallest one I decided to do them all. Three days later they were all naked. She decide on gunstock stain so a day to stain and let dry. Then some water born clear and this is the final product. She made out like a bandit! she ended up with a set of dressers worth about $1500.00 to $2000.00 or more set. This was well worth the time ( one week total ) and it gave her retired Dad a project to keep him occupied for a week!

New life to some nice old furniture.
Refinishing is one of my least favorite wood working projects so good on you.
