Classic twist pen made from some back inclusion oak I picked up a while back. I filled the gaps in with CA to help keep it in one piece while I turned it. This was a test to see how the wood looked finished. I am planning on making a set for my father with a pen, pencil, magnifying glass and letter opener. I think it turned out nice. Finish is tung oil and 6 coats of thin CA polished to 12,000.

Nice looking pen! I’m sure your dad will be proud
of the set you give him. I like the inclusions…they add character.
Good job!
