For a different gallery

Finished these 6 boxes to go to a gallery in a town just east of Asheville that draws more people (tourists) than where I live north of Asheville. Anyway designs are similar to ones I’ve done before & again using walnut & cherry. Finished with shellac Seal Coat & Arm-R-Seal.

Normally I wouldn’t post something very similar to others I’ve done.
Key reason to show them is that I think I finally found an easy method for me to center the drawers in the box opening. LJ Blackie has perfected a technique, but I didn’t get it to work for me. Tried flocking and it helped, but messy & took a little time. So still was looking for options.

Saw this video on YouTube by Dave Watkins. link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpV2WTViqjA

It sure was easy, & to me, looks pretty good.

Just wanted to pass along.
Below freezing with snow this morning & they predict 80 high tomorrow. Gotta love our weather here in western North Carolina.

They look good. Hope for a quick sell-out.

Can you please share where you bought the 1/16” felt pads? I have only found thick pads here.

Oh yeah those felt pads are a great idea. I love the hollowed tops. I’ve got a ton of scrap wood and you’ve added some ideas for me. Thank you.

Thanks to all for the comments.
Monte – hope you are getting settled in & learning all the correct words/terms for living in this here part of the country… buggy not shopping cart, covered up not too busy… etc
Larry – I’ll get back to you on the pads, need to do some “research”. I’ve had these for several years, think I got them from a office supply place when we had a shop.
Bob – people seem to like the tops & have different uses for them.
