Those are cool. I’d like a set where the wood goes all the way around the center so that I could hold my tools in the winter when it’s freeing cold in my garage. Nice idea, it combines my 2 favorite things, wrenching and woodworking.

Interesting build, especially putting the size of the wrench above each one.

On a side note I often see wrenches stored this way on walls and such. What is the allure of storing them this way verses in a toolbox drawer. I realize to each his own, just curious from those that do use this method.

For reference here is a pic of a traditional layout for a wrench drawer in a toolbox. Both imperial and metric sizes stored in same space.

A very interesting project.

Neat—looks great. How are they going to stand up to actual use? We have wrenches laid out both ways and use both— depends on the job and the tools we will be needing whether you grab just one or move the toolkit closer.

Thank you. Inserts are lacquered, checked do not get dirty, twist well, time will tell
