Sorry about the shitty pictures, my camera has a huge scratch on the lens, and i had the original pictures of it on a hard drive that is now garbage =/
Table i made for my father and his fiancé earlier this year, material is walnut, this walnut was really weird and stripy-looking compared to walnut ive worked with earlier, but i like it, makes it look like the top is a single piece…

Their dog kept hitting his head on the corners of the old table hence the rounded ends

Finish is tung oil and beeswax

Quick question: What are tables like this worth in this day and age?
It cost my father 150 euros, which was the price of the extremely expensive hardwood (welcome to Finland) + finish =/

I did think the top was one piece…
Here in Australia you could price this at about 200 plus euros..around the AU$450 mark… or maybe more in the right gallery…maybe less in the wrong place..

Hi Peik – Long time no hear. Nice looking table. A am not sure where you are getting you timber from, but it seems a little expensive – Try here This where I get most of my timber.

As for the selling price, In Finland, you have to agree the price with the customer before you start the work – I found most people in Häme (where I live/d) want everything for nothing, but in the Helsinki and surrounding area, they appreciate the value of the materials and workmanship.

I wish you luck in making a “buck”, you have to make something special and make only “one offs” Try to find a seller in Helsinki, who you can work with, as you live too far away for most customers to travel to you.

I hope this helps
