A quick box to help organize. I couldn’t help experimenting a little.

Hey, I never thought I’d use the words “elegant” and “exposed plywood edges” in the same sentence, but it sure fits in this case. Nice box!

Cool. That looks fun to build and functional. My kind of organization.

Sometimes I look at what folks build for their shops and wish my house were furnished as nice. The drawers are downright spiffy.

Wow…my drill accessories are in little blue bins full of dust and crap. That’s pretty nice, newt. Is that going to sit on a bench, or go on the wall?

Nice job! I love these types of projects. I have to make one for my sandpaper assortment.

Wow….I keep my drill stuff in a plastic bin. This is totally over the top!

My junk is stored like Mot’s. That is, under a pile of dust in a plastic bin or case. Worthy addition!

Scott-Newt,
Shop furniture is a nice proving ground for home furniture. Those drawer pulls are very cool. How did you hang the drawers?

Necessity is the mother of invention. You’re the father. And all those accessories are the children. (Ok, so this is a stupid post, but I had to write something about your handiwork. Looks good.)

Wow, I REALLY like this project… There is just something satisfying in making something functional for yourself that you can appreciate without worrying about what other people will think about the wood, joinery, finish, etc. I also agree with what Charlie said. You’ve managed to put style into something that most people would just hack because it’s only a drill bit case. It just shows that it doesn’t have to be all or nothing (all dovetails and French polish or no style/effort).

I agree with Doug – making stuff for the shop is a fun way to explore new territory. I just made a thin rip jig and learned a few things along the way.

It’s all fun!!! Great job.

Love the drawer pulls! I’ll be stealing that one if you don’t mind.

A blind man would have no trouble finding those handles. I will be needing those at the rate I’m going.
