This was the first time I cut the banding on the bias and it had an interesting look. When making this box I wanted it to register correctly when the lid was on. The problem is the blocks need a little wiggle room, so the top can shift front to back and side to side. I used small finish nails, cut the heads off, rounded over the ends and inserted them on the bottom half of the box. I drilled corresponding holes in the lid and now the top and bottom of the box align perfectly.
