My daughter picked this out on the internet and asked if I could build one like it. I looked it over and drew it in Sketchup and built it for her for Christmas 2009. She loved it.

It is Cherry and the only purchased item was the Cherry bun feet. There is no metal in the project it is all done with Festool Dominos and the bun feet are attached with wood dowels and of course glue.

Never enough clamps is a very true statement here as always.

I hand planed and used a card scraper to finish the flat surfaces as my planer is only 13”. It is finished with Mini Wax Antique Oil Finish. I have contacted them and they said it was fine to poly over the Antique oil as long as it was well set up. I will do that later to protect the flat surfaces from water spills.
