i made this box for a client who will be carving grapes in the lid. she is going to be displaying it at the loose goose wine festival.

Yes, I do like the box and am also intrigued as to how the dome was made, it would be good to see the box again once the carving is completed. Nice job, well done.

I would be interested in how you did the dome top . . . perhaps some photos and a blog entry next time you do a similar project . . . :-)

haha i thought it looked like a coffin the whole time i was making it. but thats the design she wanted so cant complain on commissions.

Just like a little wine casket. Really brings home the meaning of the phrase “another dead soldier” for oenophiles who put away lots of bottles.
