another bridge inspired box with the long arching base and handles. the carcase made with spanish cedar and drawers, maple. the insides of the drawers are lined with aromatic cedar wich gives off a beautifull smell when opened. my mom likes the smell. i think it smells like a hamster cage

Wow – I now have a much better appreciation for Spanish Cedar. Your box is outstanding. Well constructed and very interesting lines. The splined miters are an added attraction.

Very nice! I especially like the handles on the drawers. I’m sure the hamster is spoiled. I hope he realizes how lucky he is to live in that box.

Nice work that is a great looking piece. And with the cedar, you get that hamster smell witout all that hamster poop! ;^)

Mike- Love the design. How are the drawer pulls made? Are those metal (aluminum/brass?) rods for spacers? Were they glued (CA?)?
Also, the inlaid pieces next to each drawer—are these purely decorative or the fronts to drawer glides?
I’d love to hear more about it if you care to!

Beautiful Mike. I like the way the handles mirror the curve of the apron.
I’m with you on the hamster smell though. Everytime I smell cedar I think of my brother’s “pet” – nasty little creature!
