river birch turnings

my first time at turning green river birch..the one in the middle was finished with antique walnut stain and 2 coats of poly. the other 2 were finished with boiled linseed oil..

Bill, these are some nice looking turnings. It looks like you had a lot of fun “turning” them and whenever I have the opportunity to see posts like these it moves a lathe higher up on my wish list.

Nice turning Bill! To me the wood has taken on an appearance almost like stone. Reminds me of Egyptian vessels made of calcite. Beautiful work!
