This little bowl from a very large fallen gum tree (eucalyptus – some kind of stringy bark). Some grub holes and spalting – the tree fell about a year ago and I have been trying out various ways of using some. Actually half the tree fell after it was split down the middle by a lightning strike. The main section of the fallen trunk has about a 4 foot diameter – wish I had a portable sawmill.
