I built these six boxes on December 2017 in an effort to use up scrap wood. They were meant for storing pencils and other writing implements. Unfortunately (sigh) I made them 1/2” too short. Oh well, life goes on…

I agree with “at anchor in Orlando.” Gift the boxes with presharpened pencils. Who wants new pencils that you can’t use anyway? It’s a nice design on the box, i like the dowels supporting the corner joints.

Yes, I agree, sharpen the pencils. Their great looking boxes and I especially like the contrasting dowels. Anyway, a gift of your talent and labor is more than just a box, it’s a true treasure. Thanks for inspiring

Some nice boxes…Sharpening pencils is the most obvious solution … but for the “other writing implements” you might need a different solution.

Let me guess material is 1/4” and measured outside not inside. Don’t ask how i know these things.
