This mango wood bowl shows more of the typical grain pattern. The irregular border is undercut quite deeply so that it holds quite a lot more that the rim size would suggest. It balances quite well on the small foot which has been shaped to give 3 feet to maintain the balance should it change shape much as it is green turned. The finish is Shellac and Wax. -- David Australia

Thanks Larry. The burl board that it is sitting on was surfaced with the Torque Centre . I have finished it for a friend who was trying for weeks to sand it by hand. I will put it up as a project soon.

Very nice. This is my idea of a good woodworking project – making something that is unique and original that you cannot buy in a store. Great job.
