i built these 2 chests for a craft fair that i’ve got coming up in a month. i think they’ll do well based on the intial reactions of friends that have seen them sitting in my shop during the build. i have the potential to make some money on them. all the rails and stiles came out of my scrap bin, and i picked up the maple panels and walnut in the tops for next to nothing at an estate sale. (quick wood gloat:)i picked up half a truck load of cherry, ambrosia maple, walnut and ash that day for about $50. the down side is that burned up considerably more labor than i had originally figured. i’m sure i’m the only one to ever have that problem :)

Great looking chests, I love maple and walnut together, I know some people don’t but I do. Nice job.

Beautiful contrasts with the wood. The grain is lovely also.

Very nicely done. I would like to see a closeup photo of the interior. Good luck at the craft show.
