I started this little table for a local school auction, but ran out of time. The main body of the piece is oak with an ebony stain and vinished with Tung Oil. The top is Figured Mahogany veneer over birch ply. The top is finished in Valspar High Gloss Poly. This piece now my wife’s nightstand and I got a feeling that I will be making a matching headboard for the bed. Yet another thing for the honey-do list.

very nice…I’m rather partial to mahogany myself. I like the way the legs and top come together.

Very nice piece. Now if you are going to get that Headboard made for the missus – you will probably need to buy a couple more tools to accomplish the honey do list.
