This project was a first for me. I was asked to build a Hope Chest with a keltic inlay. I have never done an inlay before, let alone, having to do one by hand because I don’t have a CNC or other milling equipment. So after a little research, I was confident enough to start on the inlay. Took about 4 hours total to get the design transferred to my work piece to cutting out the inlay to preparing the chest for the inlay. The completion of this project has brought a lot of respect to the way inlays are created, and for my first time doing one, I was impressed with the way it turned out. Total dimensions are 22×38.
