I am going to the Eastern Primative Rendezvous in Minerva Ohio. I am the Tavern Master for the eastern. I thought it would be a great idea to make a couple of shot glasses to sell at the Tavern. 22 shot glasses, 2 beer cups a 14.5” wine decanter and serving tray, 4 wine goblets and a coco bolo beer mug later. I hope they sell enough to pay for my $65 camp fee. The woods used are Japenese Spaulted Maple, cherry (stems) some figured oak and on the lip of the serving tray is walnut. Almost forgot the two salt caddies, they are made from Wenge.

Nice collection of turnings. That is some really interesting wood.

You should have absolutely NO problem making up your fee. I was at a fair last weekend, and just a single beer mug (not even as nice as your turnings) was anywhere between 30 and 60 bucks. Good luck – and nice work!

Have your say...
