I finally finished this jewelry armoire that started early in January for my sister-in-law. I was originally supposed to deliver it by her birthday in February but several issues cropped up to prevent it. The carcass is made out of curly red oak I had left in the shop with walnut and birdseye maple for the interior pieces. There are two necklace holders in the door, an ear ring and bracelet holder in the main section as well as a ring box. This ring box includes a removable upper ring tray that reveals additional ring space below as well as a music box movement under a small shelf. Two deep drawers round out the bottom as well as a small door concealing the wind up key for the music box.

There are a few firsts for me in this and it definitely looks as though it’s handmade but I’m sure she’ll like it. I leave to deliver it to her on Thursday.
