Made this chair caddy out of cherry…. spray shellac finish.

The only really tough part was deciding on the thickness… it turned out to be about 7/16. That seemed to be the best balance between rigidity and weight.

The outside edges are curved in order to minimize someone hitting it as they walk past the chair.

The two cupholder depressions are sized to our soup bowls… I routed them freehand using one of those curvy bottomed bowl-making bits.
