Picture Frames: First Ever

My mom painted these pictures when she was in college. For her birthday I worked on making frames for them so that she could display them in her home. The frames aren’t perfect, the miters didn’t match up exactly but I thought they turned out okay.

It was also the first time that I have made a cove on the tablesaw. It was kind of a fun process except that it took a little more sanding than normal to get the saw blade marks completely removed from the cove recess.

Looks good, sure Mom like them. Hard to believe but picture frames can be hard. I made a special sled for my table saw that cuts perfect 45’s that has inproved my miters 110%. There are some great ideas for sleds on here.
