I got the inspiration, and wood, from Jock Mike (Hacksaw007). After making a few mini clubs like Mike does, I decided to make a few lathe tool handles.

The red one is completey home made with a piece of 1/2’ cold rolled steel along with a machine tool bit ground to a 1/4” round scraper. Works great to hog out material out of bowl centers.

Since the red one turned out so nice, decided to make another for my bedan with the gray/blue pattern.

Wow, I am impressed with your handles, and the metal. These are too nice to be using! Sounds like you need to make a blog on how to do the metal stuff. Love to see the wood being used like this. Thanks Bob!

Hi Bob;

Looks like you got a handle on it, that’s for sure.

Very nice handles.
