This is a small pecan box I made for one of the attorneys at work. She was getting married. I did not know her well yet, but thought I could not go wrong with a box. She actually used it to put her wedding ring in while they went on their honeymoon so she would not loose it. Got home and could not remember what she had done with the ring! She eventually found it.

What a lovely little box Betsy. Is it a lift lid or hinged? I really like the beveled top and finger notch – well done!

Thanks Bill – it’s a lift lid. It’s pretty small only about 3.5×5.

Very nice Betsy. The sites getting so busy these gems almost slip through. Glad I caught this and thanks for posting.

Ya Betsy. We usually put out pecans in a bowl with the nut cracker.

I almost didn’t go looking at this. The description was deceiving.

A great little box. What do you make for someone when you know them a little better.

Very nice looking little box, Betsy. You can’t go wrong with a gift like that. Pecan is beautiful wood, isn’t it?

Thanks guys.

Blake – pecan is one of my favorite woods. I have a piece now that I’m saving for one of those “it’s speaking to me moments.”

Karson – for those I know better they get stuff like tables for their bird cages, the bird cage (don’t have a picture of that – but it was a doozy), shelving units, bookcases, boxes etc.

This little gem was a last minute, opps – she’s getting married and I don’t have a gift thing. It took about 4 hours tops and it’s a one coat of Waterlox with Renisance (spelling) wax on top of that. Like I said – last minute!
