Another made-up collective noun! Anyhow, a selection of boxes made up from, in some cases, very tiny bits of leftovers and, what some would consider as un-usable pieces. Apologies for the poor quality of picture #3.
The little gift boxes are so easy and yet much more acceptable than the cardboard alternative.

Wonderful stuff, as always, Stewart!
I’m beginning to think that English wood must be easier to work with than American wood. That would explain why your projects always look better than most of ours.

Stunning. Absolutely stunning.
Charlie, I think it is because the metric system lends it self to small boxes.

What Andy said! I spotted you on the Flickr wooden box group (Odie is the moderator, dustnlint BTW) with your other moniker Voigtlander immediately when I saw the live-edge box. It’s unique. And I like your “clutch”, covey, parliament – containment as much. Your usual outstanding work Stewart. Thanks for sharing Bee-you-tiful.

Stewart,
Very nice. I especially like the use of the natural edges and knots/pith etc. in the tops. Gives me some ideas for some offcuts laying around that are too interesting to discard.

The boxes are great. It looks like you using pins for hinges. A great way to eliminate the hinge. I’ll be using that idea soon. Thanks for sharing your work.

Thanks once more for your interest and comments. I especially enjoyed Charlie and Steve’s ’analyses’ of my work. I laughed out loud at those! You made me realise, Steve, that I think in imperial but work, by and large, in millimetres. i.e. I might visualise that I need to make a box about 7.5” x 5” x 4”, but then I find it much easier to measure, say, half of 193 mm than 7 19/32”.
Dominic – yes, I often use pins – sections of a nail or even knitting needles!
As for Bee-you-tiful, Douglas – that gave me a buzz!
