A walnut spice chest. A hand tool project . Finished with a couple coats of garnett shellac with a couple coats of clear shellac. on top.

That came out real nice, with hand tools no less! I like the color and that you didn’t over-design the outside with lots of detail. It has some fancy molding, but not too much, which helps keep the focus on the wood itself.

That crothcety panel on the door is awesome. Nice chest, or a really cool odds and ends hide for in the shop if you lean toward perfect shop furniture. Nice job.

I’m guessing that last pic above, and the first pic below are closer to actual color?
