Probably not much of a project to display, but it is functional. I had to make a new breadboard to go over the drawer with all the spatulas and mixing spoons.
I bought some 24” wide melamine shelf material. I made oak breadboards and side rails. The board is paved on both sides, so I made the breadboards with one finger pull up and one down. When one side gets too tacky I turn it around and flip it and have a new surface.

It is a project Rikkor – it has all the elements of a project, wood, grooves, melamine and finish. Looks good to me.

It is some of these little “practical” projects that you get the most use out of, and ultimately are glad you did. I made sliding shelves for the bottom shelf of our kitchen cabinets and I can’t tell you how much my wife has enjoyed them. Good project and well executed!
