While I was making the box for Miss Ellie I decided to try my hand at another box. My goal is to challenge myself with a new technique or feature. I was inspired by many of the boxes here on LJ so tried my hand at a double dovetail with the incra jig. Actually this went much better than the through dove tails. I am still improving and any suggestions are welcomed.
The box is made with walnut and cherry. I finished it with three coats of Shellac and two coats of paste wax.

You did a great job on this one. The finish is gorgeous the overall wood pic are great and the dovetails set the whole thing off. Very nice build, right down to the stripe on the top.

Very nice box; love the double dovetails. The opposing stripe on the top are a real eye-grabbing feature.

Very nice, I have the incra jig but I have never done the double dovetail. Maybe now you could do the “double double” dovetail…
