Well, I finally finished a couple projects. This was a small box for my Granddaughter Ellie. She wanted a small box that she could keep her hair bands, etc in. She thinks it is great. Isn’t it fun being Grandpa!
I is made with Walnut and Cherry. My first attempt at through dove tails with the incra jig. It was a little more difficult than I thought it would be but turned out OK.
This box making thing can get addictive.

yes grandpa can be a pretty nice title…you did a great job on your box there…i do enjoy making them myself and always try to find ways to change it up some…im sure she loves her box…great job…

It is great being Grandpa, and to make things for the kids is such a great feeling, they really love it, they know it’s special.

I like everything about this box: the choice of wood, the ‘personalized’ handle, the ‘suspension’ and the dovetails. Great job and I’m sure Ellie is real happy with granddad!
