These toyboxes are all variations of a plan for an outside storage box. I thought that the plans would work as a great toybox for my little girl, then my niece, then my other niece. They were built over the span of about 3 years. Each is a little bit different & a little bit better than the last.
1. Purple top (daughter): built with a homemade pocket hole jig since I was too poor at the time to buy a Kreg.
2. Black top (Niece #1): used 2 materials for the front/sides & a different edge on the legs. I lost the original plans and measured from the first one I did, only I measured wrong & it turned out about a foot longer than the original. And quite a bit heavier. Used a Kreg 1-hole jig for this one.
3. Pink top (Niece #2): Found the plans & this one turned out the same dimensions as the first one. I like the legs on this one the best. I wanted to use the fluting on the original but didn’t have the skill or the tools for it. Used the same Kreg 1-hole jig and finally became convinced to buy a full kit.
