Just had a weekend visit by my grandchildren and I wanted to have some quality workshop time with them. With a little encouragement, they decided to each build a napkin holder as gifts for their moms. The half-day project used up some scrap wood and taught them the fundamentals of the saw, plane and drill press. Then the oldest grandson, now 12, wanted to go further and turn a bowl of his own design. Everyone was happy with the result. Now I just need to come up with some new projects for the next visit.

This is great. Now, if only I had a grandchild.
