A friend of my son and I invite us to Ohio to hunt turkey and deer. Boards is, feeds us and lets us have free reign of his farms. I decided to make him a table from a slab of walnut. I stained this one for different reasons.

Nice work. You did a good job matching that base to the top.

Very nice, I would like to make a base like this for a walnut slab that I have. Could you tell me the dimensions of the base.

Again a very nice table.

Dimensions were in accordance to the size of the slab. Width and length. Being a beginner I did not have any rhyme or reason for the dimensions. I made it the way it looked the best. Pretty sure the ends of the bar were 4 inches in from the end of the board and the boots were in line with the width. Hope that helps.
