Great Piper. Nice boxes. The Brazillian Cherry one looks very dainty.

Very nice work. All of the boxes are beautiful – the third one is my favorite – reminds me of Dolphins.

A nice blend of Cherry for the first box. How many hours spent sanding?
I suspect you are about ready to move to your own designs, that is when it becomes fun and at the same time challenging!

Excellent work. Love that bandsaw but hate the sanding. Oh well, it has to be done.

Very nice! I would like to make some bandsaw boxes at some point. What is a good source of information and plans?

Piper,
They turned out very nice. Did you feel like you were on a roler-coaster when bandsawing the “Lotus” box? (I surely did). I’ll probably start a forum discussion tonight about sanding bandsawboxes (tony’s question).

I used patterns from Lois Keener Ventura’s book on Band saw boxes it s a good place to start still have a long way to go and yes the lotus box does keep you going for a while. For a project called band saw boxes it is surprising how littte of the work is actually at the band saw.
