Got these from the pensmith for a client who special ordered it. The transmision was already in it so I would not have the chance to ruin 2 trannys when I put it together. Anyways it is made of African Blackwood and the pictures are crummy but I wnated to show it off before delivery.

Excellent… where did you get the kit? I wasn’t able to locate the pensmith (the only one I found sold complete pens).

This is where I get my kits:

I like the real bullet instead of the nibs most are made of.

Nice job Jerry. I make these from 30/06 shells and I have found that if you sand the top inside of the tube so the transmission will start you will have a lot less trouble. I try to get it so the brass end will go about half way ( about 1/4 inch). I use the 30/06 because the bullet end of the brass is the same size as the outside of the slimline nib.

Seer… thanks for giving me the link. I found a couple named Pensmith… wasn’t the one you are using. Which of the “Pensmith” pens are the ones you like? I did find this site on www.penturners.org site… Little River Crafts which make quite an assortment… here is the link… www.bulletpenkits.com
Enjoy!

I have used those kits and like them alot but the 300 mag requires assembly and I ruined 2 cigar kits so the ones at www.thepensmith.oeg were the way to go for me already assembled with the extra cigar kit stuff included.
