I found some lacewood at my supplier so I bought a 2’ board. Cut it in half and made some correction implements. One for the wall and one for the diaper bag ;)
They haven’t been used of course, the baby is only 10 months old, I just thought they would look great with the lacewood which has a really striking grain pattern.
As an aside, the lacewood was really easy to mill, cut well and routed the roundovers nicely.

The wood is beautiful. I seen a piece at my local supplier and it is a must have at some point.

the lacewood is really cool. I stop by and just look at it when I pass the paddles.
didn’t notice that ‘striking’ pun.

We had a similar paddle at my house as a kid. We had “rump roast” for supper from time to time. ;-)

We had something similiar growing up only it was in the shape of a whale with holes drilled through it so it left your butt pokadotted, my parents called it the whaling paddle, and it saw more tail than Hugh Hefner. I like the lacewood, discipline never looked so good!
Have your say...
