This is a half hull I made. I really like the ones I’ve seen so I decided to create my own. It is not based on any specific ship, rather, I decided to come up with my own design. So I made up the design and the name. In the future I would like to make a half hull based on a real ship such as the Constitution. First I have to find online plans to transfer to the wood.

Chris, this is fantastic. I’ve seen these in antique and nautical shops and they always cost a small fortune. Could you tell us the hull length and height? I’d guess about a foot long by looking at the grain, maybe a little longer? Beautiful piece!

If you find a pattern and the “how-to” directions, let us (me) know, as I’ve wanted to make one of my C&C boat. Did you use a CNC or free hand?

It’s about a little over a foot by 3 inches. I did it freehand
