In our modern times, woodworking and making in general has exploded in popularity ! Along with making awesome projects from wood, a couple more trades now come along with the woodwork itself. Photography and Videography have become a part of woodwork as a way to share your work so others can share ideas, tutorials, or use platforms such as Youtube or Instagram as a way to grow their brand!

In learning how to photograph and film my work i found myself unable to get some dynamic shots that i wanted. My workshop is also elevated with wood floors, therefore my camera tends to shake on the tripod when i run large power tools i.e. the table saw etc.

I looked for ways to resolve the issues i had with shaky footage and something i could get more range from my camera. I found a few versions of camera stands and came up with this design. It was built entirely from materials i had on hand, with the exeception of the casters and some Tee Nuts to make knobs for adjustment.

Check out this awesome tool and the build video that accompanies it here…
