I got an order about a week or so ago from a friend of mine that is about the retire from the USAF as a Master Sergeant. It was an honor to be asked to build this for him considering he is out of state and still wished for me to build it and have it shipped to him.
He didn’t want anything too fancy, but requested it stay symetrical with a flag display area and base for it to sit on. Here is what I built him and will ship it in the next day or two.
I made it from solid Red Oak, stained and clear coated. The backing inside is a blue suede hard back cardboard to mount your items to and behind that is a piece of 1/4 Oak plywood. The front is an actual 1/8” piece of frame glass.
I hope you enjoys his box for years to come.
Thanks for looking.

A great design, plenty of room around the flag for the ribbons and stripes. Nicely done Mike.

that is really nice…I’m working on one myself for my Dad’s flag..I like the idea of the extra space to put some other items.
