Silent Auction Gift

Awhile back our church was having a silent auction and I wanted to contribute. I decided on a small step stool, a box, and a two step stool. Here is the small stool. I wanted to come up with a new design for a small step stool so I asked the expert, Boxguy. Now Boxguy can build anything, House, Barn, Workshop, boxes, furniture, taught by his father and his grandfather. If you need ideas he’s your man. This was “our” design. Made from scraps of Poplar with inlays of Mahogany, celebrating defects for character. However it didn’t bring much at the church auction.

Thanks for your time. Take Care, Joe

Very beautiful and definately unusual and not boring design. I like those dots and inlayed stripe.

Beautiful job. Don’t beat yourself up that it didn’t bring much at the auction: I spent a lot of time making a cutting board with a pattern and the recipient said I bought it at Hobby Lobby. Go figure

Great combination of strength and beauty.

I would say someone got a super good deal!

Definitely got my attention.

This is a beautiful stool and such a nice stool.

Great looking stool and I’d say someone made out pretty good on that auction.
