Built it out of pine and hickory. Out of all the presents they got for Christmas, even the high tech electronics they played with this the most. Made me happy!

I tried uploading video but it says it’s too large, I shortened it to six seconds but still wouldn’t work. I added another pic of the flippers with the covers off, couldn’t find one with the pushrods and springs installed. I used 3/8” dowels that push against the square corner of the flippers, there’s a spring attached to each flipper that pulls them back. They’re really fast. The center of the game is sloped up, I was afraid the kids would launch the ball into their teeth so I bought heavy 1” steel ballls, I didn’t get the balls untill the day before Christmas so I didn’t have time to test them out, turns out my worries were for nothing, ended up replacing the steel marbles with lighter glass ones. Next time I visit them (they’re 100 miles away) I’ll get a pic of the mechanism.

That looks really cool. If you had more design details, I might attempt to build it – after the other 6 projects in the queue.

You did a wonderful job on this wacky ball game and it’s very creative and nicely done.

Nice job on the game. Getting into building these is addictive. That’s what grandparents are for.

That’s pretty damn cool. Anyone know of anyone who has tried a whole pinball kind of build? Has my mind racing…

I started out building a stand up pinball machine but didn’t think I’d have enough time so settled for this one
