Built this for my daughter and her baby that will be here in the next week or so. I cut hudereds of 1/4” strips then glued them together clamped them to forms. Got my pics fixed! Thanks Joe, the slight edit worked!
Found another pic of the carving I did on the underside of the seat.

Way to go Grandpa! You better bring a box of tissues with you when you present it to her…

This is a beautiful rocking chair.

Your chair is a work of art, great job of creation. Your daughter and grand baby will use it for many wonderful years, each time thinking of her dad. Have you solved your problem of pictures posted wrong? I had the same problem. Lumberjocks told me to edit every picture just a little, cropping, color, anything that edits the picture before I posted it. Ones already posted, can be corrected by going back to the project page, upper right, hit edit, then remove the picture, edit the picture and repost. I did it and it worked for me on my Apple computer, although its a real hassle. For what ever reason most people don’t seem to have the problem. Hope this is helping.

Very nice. I’m sure she will love it.
