Super Secret Shelf

Hey Guys,

I made this shelf a way long time ago for my brother who needed a little security around his home. You see, his girlfriends teenage son had been lifting an extra pack of smokes here and there.

The space up under the lid is only noticeable once pointed out, otherwise, hanging it on the wall above where kids can reach. So storing matches, candles, the keys to the cadillac, ‘the good chocolate’, etc is just what the doctor ordered.

There is no locking mechanism on this one, though it wouldn’t take too much to add one, hmmmm, maybe a next endeavour…

Anyway, if anyone really wants the plan for these, please check out my Etsy site and for a few bucks you will be well on your way!

The construction is pretty straight forward and the pics pretty much tell the story, enjoy!

Nice, simple design and very subtle! Lots of furniture being designed with hiding places these days. I’ll bet my parents would have loved something like this! (I should mention that we were rotten kids!)

Well done!

The thief would get a surprise; I would leave something that they would steal with a really bad taste added! Nothing to hurt them just to taste terrible!
