MY WIFE CAME TO ME WITH A “BLUEPRINT” OF WHAT SHE CALLED A “SNACK BOX”. SHE WANTED IT MADE FROM SOME SALVAGED AROMATIC CEDAR I HAD LYING AROUND. OF COURSE I SAID YES! THE LUMBER WAS PRETTY ROUGH LOOKING BUT I THINK WE CAME UP WITH A GREAT LOOKING “SNACK” BOX. I PUT THE WORD “SNACK” IN QUOTES BECAUSE EVERYTIME I GO TO THE KITCHEN AND LOOK IN IT THE ARE NO SNACKS! OH WELL, IF SHE’S HAPPY, I’M HAPPY:)

That’s a great looking box and I love the smell of cedar.

BTW, Leith, I didn’t even notice that you’re a newbie. Welcome to Lumberjocks; you will love it here because it’s a great place for woodworkers of all kinds.

Very dramatic box Leith. Just beautiful and great craftsmanship.

Welcome to the site! No need to yell though (the caps). My power tools are off when I’m visiting LJs. LOL.

Great. Next, make a snack box for yourself.

I think it only fair that since you made such a fine snack box, she could fill it with fine snacks for you. Very nice Leith, very nice.

This so cool. It’s like a bread box but for twinkies! A smaller version would make a really snazzy adult lunch pail too you know? If you made this for me, I would have filled it up with homemade chocolate chip cookies. Yep.. I would. :)

Great snack box, when are you going to open up some of those boxes, what kind of joinery do you use to put those boxes together? Can’t even see where the sides come together, great job!!!
