I saw the original while traveling in South Africa, made by a dutch woodworker in 1790. I took some liberties with the design and wood species. Also the carving in the close up was a lot more simple in the original.

This project caught my eye with the nice wood contrast and then I noticed all of the curves and details that are on it. Very nice project.
