Hey Lumberjocks,
The barnwood is from the Los Vaqueros Ranch outside Brentwood Ca, maybe late 1800. The barn was taken down about 20 years ago to make way for the new reservoir. The wood was stored in another barn in nearby Brentwood. I picked it up from there. Lots of work but worth the result in the end. About 16 hours of work went in to this. Very cool features, nail holes, knots, cracks and the wood aged differently depending on which way the barn faced. Good project- went fast – no real joinery issues or detailed finishing. Cut to size, mill, attach, sand, apply sanding sealer, twice, then poly.

I have not reached the point in this relationship to properly arrange the pillows. Someday.
Thx for checking out the Barnwood Headboad

Ah VINTAGE like a lot of us.

I have always liked a different (aged/weathered) look on a lot of things too.

Nice job.

Rescued wood== rescued planet too!
